Canada Life Enhances Group Critical Illness with Specialist Support Services

Canada Life has expanded its Group Critical Illness offering with Specialist Cancer Care and a Personal Nurse Service, providing practical and emotional support alongside financial protection for employees and eligible loved ones.

Canada Life Introduces Specialist Support with Group Critical Illness Cover

Canada Life has expanded its Group Critical Illness proposition to include additional support services at no extra cost for employees and eligible loved ones making a claim. These services are available for up to 12 months from the start of support, regardless of whether the claim is accepted.

Specialist Cancer Care

Employees diagnosed with cancer, or an eligible loved one, can access Specialist Cancer Care through a partnership with Perci Health, a CQC-registered cancer clinic and Macmillan Cancer Support partner. The service is led by a dedicated Cancer Nurse Specialist, offering one-to-one support from diagnosis through treatment and recovery. Up to three additional sessions with specialist cancer clinicians are included, supporting long-term recovery and a sustained return to work.

Personal Nurse Service

For other critical conditions, the Personal Nurse Service provided by Healix Health offers unlimited support via phone, video, or email. Employees and eligible loved ones are paired with a specialist nurse who helps set personalised, clinically appropriate goals, supports navigation of NHS pathways, and provides education for chronic disease management.

Eligibility and Additional Information

These services are available to employees claiming under a Group Critical Illness policy, their spouse/partner, or an immediate family caregiver. The support is not available directly to individuals under 18. Canada Life notes that these are non-contractual benefits and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
